I co-founded The Breakfast Club with my sister in St Albans, creating a fresh alternative to the traditional cafés around at the time, with locally sourced, seasonal produce, Fair Trade goods, fresh smoothies and juices.

We took an old Italian restaurant, gutted it and built the whole thing from scratch. I created the brand and looked after the complete visual world, from identity, design and marketing to the interior design and styling, sourcing everything from chairs and reclaimed timber bar tops to hand-painting the open and closed sign.

The space also became a destination in its own right, hosting events, parties and special evenings that brought people together beyond the everyday restaurant experience. We owned and ran The Breakfast Club for eight successful years before selling the business.
